

William K. Sweeney is of counsel at Quinn & Dworakowski and an asset to the firm, bringing over 40 years of experience as a probate attorney. A highly experienced and dedicated lawyer, Bill has handled probate matters throughout California, from large to small, and has appeared before probate courts across the state. Over the years, he has helped numerous families understand their rights and legal options regarding estates in California.
Bill is a U.S. Air Force Veteran (1958-1962.) Bill received his bachelor’s degree in accounting at the University of Redlands (1967) and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law (1971.) In 1979, Bill earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Dayton Graduate School of Business and 14 years later a post graduate LL.M. law degree (Taxation) from the University of San Diego School of Law (1993.) Bill served in multiple business management functions, including General Counsel at Grumman Allied Industries, Inc., a New York diversified subsidiary of the Grumman Corporation, legally responsible for non-aerospace products, including aluminum truck bodies, canoes, fire trucks, and boats.
In 1986, with 20 years in the corporate world, Bill met retirement minimums and returned to California to begin private practice. Practicing with his two sons, Mike and Bob, Bill represented individuals and businesses in estate planning and probate matters, including bench and jury trials.
